The Golden Globes Song that made me want to stab my eyes out...

For those of you that don't regularly watch The Golden Globes, NBC generally makes (I hesitate to say composes) up a song for the intro, set to the tune of a popular, and in this case, already awful tune. This year, they chose, The Pussycat Dolls Don't Cha. Here are they lyrics, for all to enjoy.

I know it’s Globe time
I know it’s Globe time
Here’s how I know
Here’s how I know
I know we won’t see this many stars at any other show
Desperate Housewives
These Desperate Housewives
are matched pearl to pearl
Here is Capote and Johnny Cash
And his name is Earl
Don’t ya think that Jaime looks hot tonight?
Don’t ya think that Reese has a shot tonight?
Don’t ya?Don’t ya?
Don’t ya love that Russell can throw left hooks?
Don’t ya love the cowboy with his good looks?
Don’Dont ya?
Gwyneth the baby
She’s a baby
George could win three
He could win three
Hannibal Lecter is licking his lips to taste the Cecil B,
This guy’s a riot
He’s a riot
Funny worldwide
Funny worldwide
I hope that this cast that’s known as Lost can find their seats inside
Don’t ya dig the bling on the robes tonight?
Don’t ya want to come to the Globes tonight?
Don’t ya?Don’t ya?!?

By far, the worst line has to be the one about Hannibal licking his lips. For God's sake, hasn't Anthony Hopkins proven himself as a serious actor enough to be excluded from this wretched tune? Dear Lord.

The Golden Globes themselves really aren't that bad, especially because they recognized my favorite performance this year by Phillip Seymore Hoffman.

New Year, Same Me

So, as we sit comfortably in 2006, I realized (although I said I would), I haven't written on here in quite some time. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've lost all my readers! Please come back. I promise to write more...maybe.

Hmmm...whats been going on? Still slaving away at Woolly and the Folger. Still living in the house of drama. Still dating Bobby. Day to day is pretty much the same.

I've begun to think a little about what I will do after my time is up at Woolly. Over the holidays I was a Production Assistant for the Broadway tour of Wicked here in DC at the Kennedy Center. It was truly a wonderful, educational experience. But, I came to realize that big, Broadway shows, TOURS, are not for me. The traveling all the time isn't what would get to me, it's unpacking and repacking all the time. I like having all my stuff organized in one place all the time. That's what would mess with my head. Plus, I like doing different shows. The same show, no matter what it was, would wear on me. The Wicked experience was so cool, and a great resume booster.

So, what next? I have seriously thought about trying to break into film. Actually, since Wicked, I have decidely made a choice to make some contacts in the film industry. It's something I have always been interested in, and I know I would regret it if I didn't give it a shot. The next Sundance Film festival is January 2007, and I think I could procure a job doing something (anything) in good old Utah. I know I may be jinxing myself by writing it down here, but if I don't, I may never try.

I've also thought about doing a show in Ohio in the fall. It would be a good opportunity to sublet my place and make some much needed money.

We have 2 1/2 more shows left at Woolly, which is approximately 6 months. I'm hoping I can scare up something by then.
